Emerson 856
One of the last
attempts to continue using tubes in portable radios, the 856 debuted in
1956 utilizing two "peanut" tubes along with three transistors. I hate
to think of what the battery cost was for this radio! Radio is quite small,
about 6" x 4" x 1.5". |
